CVECA Gives Back

CVECA gives back gives families an opportunity to spend time with your kids while giving back to the local community.  We work closely with the Chagrin Valley Women’s League to donate time and resources to the members of our surrounding community who need it most.  Whether it’s spending time at Hamlet Village or donating toys and clothes to local children and families in need, volunteering teaches even toddlers and preschoolers about compassion, empathy, tolerance, gratitude, and community responsibility.

What are we doing now?

CVECA Gives Back: Blanket Drive for Rainbow Children & Babies
Join us as we donate cuddly handmade fleece blankets to the Children’s Unit of Rainbow Children and Babies. These blankets are easy to make, require no sewing and could be the perfect thing to help cheer up a sick child. To get involved and support our cause please donate $10 for the blanket making kit. You can make it a family project by taking the kit home, fringing the edges of the material and simply tying knots around the sides to complete the blanket (instructions are included in the kit). If you aren’t able to make a blanket at home but would like to be involved please donate $10 and the blanket will be completed for you. Our goal is 50 blankets so we need as many of you involved as we can get!

A group will be gathering to pick out kits and begin making blankets at the Chagrin Falls Library Community Room on Wednesday, Feb. 22nd from 4:00 – 5:00pm. You can stop by to pick from one of many designs at this time.

If you can’t make it to the library, email Jill Farrar at jmfarrar@gmail.com to reserve your kit and set up a pick up location.

Become a Member

We have more than 100 member families and are always welcoming more. If your family lives in (or near) the Chagrin Valley and are expecting a child or have at least one child younger than kindergarten age, come join our group! We provide a wide array of options for parents in the Chagrin Valley - playgroups, parties, mom's night out, parent's night out, weekly events, parties, family picnics, and lots more.

Playgroups

CVECA helps connect moms with similar-aged children and similar interests in the form of playgroups and special interest groups.

Members run the playgroups themselves, and many groups become quite close and last years! Find out more about our playgroups.
